Fred has over 40 years experience in engineering and manufacturing. He holds several U.S. patents. His grandchildren sparked the idea behind PressLock.
After many hours of doodling, Fred began to transfer the doodlings into computer drawings.
The mission was to develop a line of simple traditional children’s furniture that could be assembled and disassembled quickly and without any tools. Mission accomplished !
The Company
PressLock Furniture, a division of ASD, Inc., has been in
business
continuously since 1958. The
original company was started by Roger Debien and has been under Fred's
direction since 1980. The company uses state of the art CNC machinery to
produce the PressLock line.
Through
the years Fred has worked hard to bring together the latest design,
technology and materials. Today’s new technology, software and
computerized equipment help Presslock maintain a leading position in
creating practical, family friendly products for the home.
Presslock
Furniture continues to take a pro-active role in environmental
manufacturing and conservation. Fred supports using products that comply
